They are mostly oil on canvas, average size about 75cm x 100cm (give or take). Magritte was a workaholic and would often complete a painting in one day. An amazing genius.

I think he's pretty good... but like most of the surrealists, they knew the concept and everything, they just lacked on how to really explore the subconscious, because what i can tell about most of them, they only looked for visual impact or something "trippy" instead of having a pure unknown image.
The only one i've seen real surrealist is Dalí, and i say it because i have the same type of images randomly every second ideas, remembrance, even a lot of soft things...

(continuing)I think it might be since i had a similar life to his, in many ways.
I am an artist too not only painting i do poetry, music, cinema all from surreal type since i think it s the purest form of art.
Back to painting i do paint what i see in my mind and from automatic drawing, but i know i might get really badly criticized as a Dalí copycat that is the part i´m fearing and why i have not shown my art (yet), but im not planning on arguing with my subconscious for others to like my art

Rene Magritte is the only surrealist that I like. Regarding his picture 'This is not a pipe', there is another, little commented upon, interpretation that I thought of. He is not necessarily referring to the picture above the words. He could be referring to the words themselves. 'This' is not 'a pipe' because 'This' is 'This'. And 'This is not a pipe' because those words are a sentence, not a pipe. Or the statement 'This is not a pipe; could refer to the painting as a whole, rather
