Russian. Ukrainian is very close to russian aswell, pernouncation a little different. Ukraine was part of USSR until the fall of the great soviet republic.. so vasyl would more then likely have a first language of russian.

Ya, he does. Some polish dont. The polish language is not very close to russian. They could pick up on some words tho.. they are both slavic languages and poland is right beside Ukraine and Belarus
