Yeah, Clapton was show casing Scotty here and I think gave a deliberately muted performance.
He wasn't trying to be Elvis 'cos he never could and would not want to be . Clapton has a good voice for his own style and again as a guitarist in his genre he's one of the best there is.
Scotty was great , not as good as in his heyday at Sun Records ( I don't think he had a slapback echo on this performance) and the solo was less than perfectly defined in parts, but fantastic for a man of his years !
